1. Attendance:
a. Students must maintain a minimum of 75% attendance in all classes, practicals, seminars, and workshops.
b. In case of illness or other unavoidable circumstances, students must provide a valid medical certificate or appropriate documentation to the college authorities.
2. Disciplinary Code:
a. Students are expected to maintain discipline and decorum within the college premises.
b. Any act of misconduct, including but not limited to ragging, harassment, violence, or use of drugs/alcohol, will be strictly dealt with, and appropriate disciplinary actions will be taken.
3. Academic Integrity:
a. Plagiarism, cheating, or any form of academic dishonesty is strictly prohibited.
b. Students must give due credit to original authors and sources while using reference materials for assignments, projects, or research work.
4. Library Regulations:
a. Students must follow the rules and guidelines set by the college library.
b. Books and reference materials should be used responsibly and returned within the stipulated time.
5. Dress Code:
a. Students must adhere to the prescribed dress code while attending classes, practicals, or any college-related events.
b. The dress code will be communicated to the students at the beginning of each academic year.
6. Use of College Facilities:
a. Students should utilize the college facilities, including laboratories, equipment, and infrastructure, responsibly and without causing any damage.
b. Any damage caused to college property must be reported immediately to the concerned authorities.
7. Prohibition of Unauthorized Activities:
a. Students are prohibited from organizing or participating in any unauthorized activities or events within the college premises without prior permission from the college administration.
b. Any student found involved in such activities will face disciplinary actions.
8. Grievance Redressal:
a. The college provides a grievance redressal mechanism for students to address their complaints or concerns.
b. Students can approach the designated authority or follow the prescribed procedure to seek resolution.
9. Prohibition of Mobile Phones:
a. The use of mobile phones inside classrooms and laboratories is strictly prohibited, unless specifically permitted by the faculty for educational purposes.
10. Code of Conduct:
a. Students are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful and professional manner towards faculty, staff, and fellow students.
b. Any form of harassment, discrimination, or disrespectful behavior will not be tolerated.
These rules and regulations are meant to ensure a conducive learning environment and maintain discipline within the college. Violations of these rules may lead to disciplinary action, including warnings, fines, suspension, or even expulsion, depending on the severity of the offense. It is important for all students to familiarize themselves with these rules and adhere to them throughout their tenure at Barasat College of Pharmaceutical Science & Research Centre.
